... the benefits are simple.

  • They have full control over procurement and can manage their orders placed, efficiently.
  • It reduces the frustration caused by being able to track order progress by the push of a button.
  • They obtain the satisfaction from their clients by keeping them fully informed on the order / shipment status.
  • They are aware upfront if any delay occurs on an order.
  • There is a smooth flow of information between the buyer and seller.

ROFS enables you to place an order with your supplier and track it to delivery on the one system. This includes being automatically notified at each 'signal point' and whenever changes occur with the order ready date, order under agent control, projected vessel or flight details, actual vessel or flight details, pre-alerts and POD's.

In real terms, that means getting on with running your business, not tracking your orders.

Benefits for the Freight Forwarder

... the dream is now reality!

Because ROFS has been developed from the inside out - by a team who have worked in, and understand, the freight forwarding process - it provides solutions to both common and exceptional situations.

Here are a few benefits that ROFS offers freight forwarders:

ROFS minimises the initial data entry and updating required to track and manage orders. It allows your overseas agent or office, and even the actual supplier, to manage the shipment on your behalf.

Communicating in foreign offices has been simplified with ROFS.

ROFS also allows you to set your own business logic for each office. After all, even with the best intentions, practices and systems do differ.

For notification purposes, all shipments on the one vessel can be dealt with in a single action. When a vessel arrives at port, the system automatically searches for shipments on that particular vessel and voyage and sends out arrival notifications to all suppliers.

ROFS handles import and export shipments, air and sea freight, direct and trans-shipments as well as split shipments with ease. The system even facilitates multiple agents from one port.

So what does ROFS mean for your business? It means:

  • new business from clients who were previously with companies wedded to old technology;
  • importers and exporters have the ability to track their freight 24/7 in an easy, user-friendly manner;
  • smoother communication lines with your clients, suppliers and agents;
  • less cost to track freight;
  • the ability to redeploy resources to other parts of your business.

Benefits for the Agent

... you are now a far more involved player in the game.

ROFS enables you to view, in real time, the placing of an order, the progress of the shipment and the final delivery details. You can also update each order through the same system and on the same 'window' as the tracking details.

One window contains all the details for the one shipment. It's that simple.

And our multi-lingual and time zone features have made communication between freight forwarder and agent far easier than ever before. There's really no excuse not to use ROFS.

Benefits for the Supplier

... you're now in the loop.

  • Pre-alerts on all orders placed ex consignee is generated ex ROFS and sent to them via e-mail.
  • With a click of a button they can reply to the e-mail messages sent ex ROFS requesting them for ready dates, pick up dates etc.
  • They will have the Buyers satisfaction on order management.
  • it does not cost anything.

You are able to act on behalf of the consignee, including placing orders, and then communicate directly with the freight forwarder or agent to ensure that all conditions are being met. ROFS transparent system keeps you informed, involved and, most importantly, in charge. Can you say that about your current freight forwarding arrangements?

Benefits for the Customs Broker

... you now have a window to the world.

Whether a consignee uses the forwarder's customs broker or an external broker, ROFS notifies all relevant parties as soon as a vessel or flight has been chosen. At any time, brokers are able to update the system and, at the appropriate time, advise when a shipment is in customs and when it has been cleared. Brokers are also able to add their customs reference number and update POD information on behalf of the consignee.

Security

ROFS generates it's own codes to ensure data integrity is maintained at all times. The System has a build in time-out function, if a user is inactive for more than 5 minutes the system automatically logs the user out.

Integration

 ROFS is a web based system which operates totally independent with intelligent emails which incorporate HTML embedded fields, which ensure communication line are easily maintained with all participating parties. The ROFS emails are defined as "Notification" or " Response Required" emails. Users receiving a "Response Required" email are able to respond directly on the email by filing in the information required, as is contained in the HTML embedded field on the email. Once done the users clicks on the Send button within the email and the response is then send back to ROFS central data base to update the order detail. The system then automatically send's emails to all the users flagged for mile stone responses, to update them on the orders "new" status. Should the need arise a User can directly from the email enter the ROFS application by clicking on the order number contained in the email as a hot link, which then opens the sign on screen. Users then need to enter their user name and password to enter the order. Only those users receiving an "Response Required: email need to respond thereon.

From the above it is clear that ROFS can be operated without integration into other systems. However, if integration is required, we are able through SOAP to provide the order details in an XML format which the user can integrate into their system. The integration module is currently under development and should be available within the next three to six months. The XML schema will be published in the ROFS web as soon as it is available. It is essential that the User has XML skills to take advantage of this option.

Accessibility

ROFS, being an internet based system is completely accessible 24/7 around the globe, empowering our clients with the ability to act on vital information anywhere, anytime.
